There are a lot of various pieces of art in the world of literature. One can be read and then easily forgot the next day but some of them touch you to the bottom of your heart. These books have been living for many ages. They are popular with generations and widely discussed by critics.
Such pieces of art are known as classics. My favorite among a great English classics is “Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Bronte. This is a story of a girl whose parents died when she was a baby and she had to live with her aunt Mrs. Reed who had low regard for Jane as well as for her parents. The whole family let Jane to understand that she was not of the same kind as the rest and they keep it in their house only because of great charity. Having no desire to take care of the girl any more Mrs. Reed sent her to school which has become a home for Jane for many years. This school turned to be an orphanage and the place was not so attractive. Jane quickly made friends with one of the charity girls. Her name was Ellen Berne. Jane has known and understood a lot for months of their friendship with Ellen. Jane has spent 8 years in Lowood , six of them being a charity girl and two years being a teacher. One fine day eighteen years old Jane understood that she could not stay in Lowood any more. She had placed an advertisement in a newspaper and soon she was invited for a governess at the Tornfield estate. Jane had a deep sympathy to the owner of the estate Mr. Rochester and so he did but they concealed their feelings thoroughly. Some time later Mr. Rochester proposed to Jane but just he was leading her to the alter Jane found out that Mr. Rochester had a wife. Jane left Tornfield and she spent many years in wandering. Occasionally she got in a house where she met her relatives. She learned that her uncle had left her a big heritage. Having decided to visit Tornfield Jane found burnt ruins instead of the rich house she had seen before. It was a mad wife of Mr. Rochester who had set the house on fire and then died in fire. Mr. Rochester was trying to save her but he lost his arm and eyesight. Jane was happy to become the arms and eyes for the most dearest man for her . And so they have become inseparable.
